There, in a cheerful atmosphere, pupils learn not only to read and count, but also Latin, Ancient Greek\u2026 and above all Gaelic, the Irish language. This fragile balance is threatened when the British authorities arrive with maps and compasses to translate and rename Irish towns and villages in English.
