Summary: The whole town is buzzing: She’s back! The whole town is waiting for her, hoping without a doubt that this “returning migrant”, who left 10 years ago, will come back with enough money to contribute to the town’s much-needed development. However, she does not seem willing to give anything to the town or to the people who saw her grow up. Doubt sets in about her intentions. Behaviours change. What will the town’s inhabitants and the authorities be prepared to do to get their hands on her fortune? This political and social satire humorously addresses the themes of democracy, migration and gender equality in society.
This play is inspired by Bernard Wicki’s film “La Rancune” and Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s play “The Visit”.
